Girl's Generation wins Prime Minister's Awards

The South Korean government again gave awards for artists and musicians as well as a number of parties who are considered successful popularization of art and culture of South Korea in the eyes of the world. Girls' Generation, a musical group consisting of 9 people and has just released the latest album "The Boys" was awarded the Prime Minister's Awards. Direct awards handed over by South Korean Prime Minister Kim Hwang Sik in Korean Popular Culture and events Arts Awards 2011 at the Olympic Hall, Seoul, recently.

Girl's Generation was awarded the AM Awards for their achievements spread the 'Korean Wave' to the world. In addition to Girls' Generation, Wonder Girls event enlivened by, the music group who recently returned to South Korea, after serving his musical activity for 2.5 years in the United States.

Some categories in this annual awards, among them the Prime Minister's Awards, President's Awards, Culture Minister of Finance Awards, and Medals Culturals. Korean culture was introduced internationally in the mid 90s through music popnya, and continues to draw world attention to so-called 'Korean Wave "or Hallyu the Korean language.
